How the club began
In our first season, a small group met after dusk to compare star maps and log what we could see from local parks. Those shared notes became the foundation for today’s observation library.
We still follow that same practice: observe patiently, write clearly, and pass what we learn to the next person who looks up.
Volunteer-led learning
Moonbeam is run by members who give time to host telescope nights, update guides, and welcome first-time visitors. There is no sales agenda—just a shared commitment to thoughtful, practical astronomy.
Our approach is collaborative: each meetup blends questions, field notes, and real sky conditions so learning stays grounded in actual observation.
